He did a great job, thoroughly explained what he was doing, and helped me figure out possible solutions for my cold air intake, which was never set up to fully flow through the air filter. I explained that I have an asthmatic cat and need to keep the air as clean as possible. He’s also a cat person, so we ended up sharing pictures of our cats with each other. This is an amazing local shop that does honest work. They haven’t upsold me once and even when I have questioned should I proactively replace components, they have given me honest assessments and actually recommended against replacement when it didn’t make sense. Being a smaller business, they are really responsive (even next day sometimes for non urgent calls) and the techs are usually the same so they get to know your systems.
One of the best decisions I made after buying our house 6 years ago was to call JP heating and cooling when we had our first issues. Since then issues have been few and far between and their annual maintenance has been effective.
Big shout out to Traci (office manager), Mike (tech), and Jason (owner) who have all provided true white glove service.

They did an excellent job! when I came home at the end of the day there was a crew of 5 trucks in the driveway. Thy got on it and completed all of the work in one day. Called Wednesday at noon because our air conditioner was not working. They sent someone out the next morning around 8:30. He was very informative & professional. He helped me to better understand the system in general & explained some additional maintenance I could do myself. Unfortunately, our 27 year old air conditioner was done in.
the next morning, Friday, they had a quote for us to install a brand new air conditioner at a reasonable price. Today Monday morning, they came and installed a brand new air conditioner .
Both services instances allowed us to pay by either card or by check at the time of service with no issue

To start out home AC went out. Had a few quotes done that were way above our budget. I decided to diy it and bought one thru Lowes. The unit came and I installed it exactly as directed… and then the problems started. Couldn’t get it to start up, with a bunch of extra wiring changes we got the blower to run and it sounded like a train wreck still no outside unit.
Long story short form the moment I call JP Heating and Air Conditioning I felt I made the right decision. Tasha and Traci were amazing, informative, and very helpful on the phone. Ben and Michael were the techs that did the work. Awesome at their trade and efficient. Ben kept my wife and I informed with what they were doing. Fixed all the factory unit problems leaking condenser, bent shaft on blower, refilling the ” prefilled” in it that was empty because of the leak. one afternoon and we have ac in our house again. Jason the owner called to follow up with me!
Needless to say it was an easy pitch when they asked if I was interested in a maintenance contract to stay with them. I highly recommend JP Heating and Air conditioning.

I live in Florida and own a air conditioning company and my brother – in-law needed help with his heater up in Kalamazoo. Bot knowing where to go I started looking up people and found JP. Looked at the reviews and decided this was the company I was the one I would choose. We called back the next morning because there was condensate building up in the basement – they came back and took care of it at no extra cost, and even went he extra mile and repositioned my condensate pump and piping to be more efficient and it just flat out looks better! My furnace broke on Friday night, after hours, and we were in need of an urgent repair (with a 6 month old in the house). Jason took my call and was at my house within an hour. This was around 10pm at night. He was very quick, friendly, and knowledgeable. His pricing was fair and honest for an after hours call. The furnace is back up and running. The next day, Mark & John installed a new furnace for us and almost seemed like family. We had JP recommended to us by a co-worker after we received very high quotes for repair and replacement options from a large HVAC company in the area. We never felt pushed to do more expensive repairs or replacements and never felt we were being handled by sales people, as we did with the other company. JP’s repairs were significantly cheaper than the other company. We tried to get by with a cheaper fix to our problems and eventually ended up doing a full replacement of our older furnace and AC unit. The replacement was thousands of dollars cheaper than the other company. Almost half the cost! And, Jason credited us for the cost of the replacement with some of the labor put into a previous repair. Jason and his technicians are professional, thorough, and friendly. They really seem to pride themselves in their work, and they spent a lot of time explaining our problems, how they determined their diagnosis, and what our options are. We were helped in a timely fashion, even on the weekend. Traci, in the office, was helpful and friendly and followed up with each visit to make sure we didn’t have any concerns and were happy with the work we had done. Exceptional communication and service all-around. And our house is cool again!

I’m very happy with the service JP provided us. Our inspector missed a gas leak in our home that was due to improper piping. Consumers had to turn off our heat in the middle of winter! After fighting with our home warranty for a week, I called JP and they were quick and reasonable. Tracy was amazing and answered all of my questions. Her call back time was impressive and her honesty sold me. The technicians also ended up finishing earlier then the quoted time. I definitely recommend this company!
